About Blue Cup Design
What does Blue Cup Design specialize in?
We help brands find clarity and show up with purpose. That means strategy, identity, and design, rooted in real insight and built to work across platforms.
What is Creative Alchemy?
Creative Alchemy is the core of how we work at Blue Cup Design. It’s our name for the process where insight meets imagination, where strategic thinking and creative instinct combine to shape brands that truly connect. It’s not a formula. It’s a way of seeing. A way of working. And a belief that great design doesn’t just look good, it feels right, resonates deeply, and moves people.
This approach informs everything we do, from brand strategy to visual identity to messaging and beyond. Over time, we’re building it into a distinct methodology. But at its heart, Creative Alchemy is our commitment to creating purposeful, powerful work that turns ideas into experiences people remember.
What makes you different from other studios?
We take on fewer projects so we can do our best work, not just more work. For us, it’s not about volume or churning out content. It’s about focus. Whether it’s a corporate rebrand, a retail launch, a nonprofit campaign, or a small business refresh, we give each project our full attention. We care about the details, the impact, and the relationship behind the work. We want the outcome to exceed your expectations, and ours.
Who We Work With
Who are your typical clients?
We’ve worked with a wide range of clients—from interior designers like Flanagan Interiors, to nonprofits like the Zimner Invitational, to tech-forward companies like Surefire Cyber and Premiere Systems Design. We’ve partnered with financial and accounting firms like A&F Solutions, launched new ventures like Silver Hoof, and built branding for florists like Rachel Cho Floral Design and medical safety providers like iHelp Alarm.
Some are independent entrepreneurs with a clear vision. Others are growing businesses or mission-driven organizations ready for their next chapter. We work with people who care deeply about what they’re building and want that passion reflected in every part of their brand.
Whether local to the New York metro area or based across the country or globally, our clients share one thing: a desire to make meaningful connections through branding that reflects what matters most.
Do you only work with clients in New York and Connecticut?
Not at all. Many of our clients are local to New York and Connecticut, but geography and time no longer limit us. We’ve worked with teams across the country and around the world. Technology makes it easy to collaborate from anywhere, and creativity doesn’t keep office hours. If the fit feels right, we’re in.
Do you work with nonprofits or mission-driven groups?
Absolutely, and we consider it an honor. One great example is the Zimner Invitational, a nonprofit fundraising event we helped build from the ground up, from identity to campaign execution.
We care deeply about ideas with heart. Working with nonprofits or mission-driven organizations is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. Whether we’re helping to tell your story, energize a campaign, or elevate your presence, we bring the same focus, creativity, and care we bring to every project.
The goal is always the same: meaningful work that makes a difference.
Getting Started
How do I know if we’re a good fit?
If you’re looking for more than a vendor, someone who thinks with you, not just for you, we’re probably aligned. The best collaborations happen when there’s shared curiosity, mutual respect, and a real passion for what’s possible. We work best with clients who want a creative partner who can help shape ideas, bring clarity to complex moments, and stay connected from first conversation to final delivery.
How do I get started?
The hardest part is often just reaching out. Whether you’re ready to dive in or still figuring things out, we’re happy to talk it through, no pressure, no pitch. A conversation is usually the best first step. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll guide you from there.
Can we begin with a one-time consultation?
Absolutely. We wouldn’t be here if we didn’t believe in listening first. Sometimes that first conversation is all it takes to find clarity, define the next step, or uncover new possibilities. Whether you need feedback, a second opinion, or someone to help you think things through, we’re here for it.
Services and Deliverables
What services do you offer?
We offer a full suite of branding and creative services to meet you where you are. We can help you build from the ground up, reimagine your current brand, create a new identity for your business, or refresh your visual assets.
Our core capabilities include:
• Brand strategy
• Identity design
• Websites
• Signage
• Packaging
• Campaigns
• Event branding
If it touches your brand, we help make sure it reflects the heart of who you are. For a deeper look at what we offer, visit the What We Do page.
Can you help with just a logo?
Yes, but we’ll always start by asking a few thoughtful questions. To us, every logo and visual identity is as unique as a fingerprint. We’re passionate about getting it right, and that means understanding the strategy behind the mark and your vision behind your business venture.
If you already have a solid foundation, we’re happy to focus on the logo itself. If you’re still shaping your brand, we can help clarify that first. Either way, we’re in it to create something that feels true, lasting, and entirely yours.

Do you offer website design and development?
Absolutely. We design and build WordPress websites that feel like a natural extension of your brand. They’re clean, responsive, and built with purpose.
We’ve developed everything from retail sites with integrated commerce to platforms with secure logins for agents or vendors to fundraising sites with layered messaging and calls to action. Complexity doesn’t scare us. We use the right tools to create solutions that match your needs, scale with your business, and make sense to the people using them.
No matter how sophisticated the build, our approach is always rooted in clarity. We think like your audience so the experience is intuitive, engaging, and aligned at every level.
Process and Collaboration
What’s your approach to branding?
Our branding process combines strategic clarity and creative execution to build brands that connect. We start by listening, then shape a plan that aligns with your goals, values, and audience.
We guide you through four core phases:
-
Strategy
We uncover what makes your brand distinct and align it with business goals. From positioning to brand voice, we build the foundation for meaningful, consistent experiences. -
Concept
Using Creative Alchemy™, we develop ideas that drive tone, visuals, and messaging with intention and clarity. -
Design
We bring your identity to life through visual systems that communicate clearly and connect emotionally across logos, collateral, environments, and more. -
Production
From digital assets to large-scale applications, we manage details with care to ensure quality, consistency, and impact.
For a deeper look at our process, visit the What We Do page.
Can you handle both print and digital?
Absolutely. We’ve spent over two decades helping brands stay consistent across every touchpoint. In the early days, we focused heavily on print: signage, brochures, books, POP displays, packaging, and large-scale environmental design. As digital evolved, so did we. Today, whether it’s a website, email campaign, or social content, we make sure your brand shows up with clarity, connection, and cohesion.
A great example is the Zimner Invitational, a non-profit fundraising event we developed from the ground up. We created the brand strategy, identity system, print collateral, email campaign, website, event banners, sponsorship materials, and digital promotions. Every element worked together to tell a unified brand story across platforms and audiences.
What’s it like to work with you?
Our process is clear, calm, and built on mutual trust. We begin by listening, really listening, so we can understand what’s needed now and what’s coming next. Whether you’re launching something new or refining what exists, we work with you to outline priorities, define scope, and confirm a realistic timeline.
After that, we deliver a detailed Statement of Work and Letter of Agreement before anything starts. You’ll always know where things stand. No surprises. Just focused collaboration, thoughtful feedback, and work that reflects your vision and our shared goals.
Pricing and Timeline
How long does a branding project typically take?
It depends on the scope, but here’s a general idea:
-
Brand Strategy: 2–4 weeks
-
Logo & Visual Identity: 4–6 weeks
-
Content Development: 2–3 weeks
-
Website Design & Development: 6–10 weeks
That said, every project, and every client, is different. You’ve spent years shaping your idea. The last thing you want to do is rush the rollout. We understand deadlines and move quickly when it makes sense, but quality takes time. Rushing leads to wasted effort and second-guessing. You want it right. We want it right. If time is the only priority, we may not be the best fit. But if you’re looking for a result that feels right, looks right, and is right, we’re all in.
Do you offer flat rates or custom proposals?
The short answer is: both, depending on what makes the most sense for the project. First, we need to understand the scope. Is it a one-off piece like a logo, brochure, or invitation? Or is it a larger initiative, like a full rebrand, a multi-phase campaign, or an event that spans print, digital, and environmental elements?
For focused, clearly defined deliverables, we often provide a flat project fee. For more complex or evolving needs, a phased fee schedule or retainer may be a better fit. It’s all about scalability, transparency, and making sure the structure supports your goals, and the quality of the work.
Can you work within a specific budget?
Yes. If we agree to a budget, we honor it. Every project begins with a shared understanding of scope, deliverables, and timing, so we’re aligned from the start. The best work happens when there’s mutual respect for each other’s expertise, resources, and time.
What could impact the agreed-upon budget?
Only things that fall outside the original agreement. That might include expanded deliverables, additional rounds of revisions, or compressed timelines that require us to shift priorities. If something comes up that could affect cost or schedule, we’ll flag it before moving forward.
We’re not here to upsell. We’re here to do great work within the guardrails we build together.
Expertise and Execution
How deep is your experience with real-world production?
Very. We’ve overseen everything from primary and secondary packaging to signage, promotional items, and large-scale environmental graphics. We’ve handled vehicle wraps, worked with overseas manufacturers and local fabricators, and made sure every piece, from banners to boxes, holds up in the real world.
Projects like the Zimner Invitational, Westchester Table Tennis, Greystone Home Collection, and Premiere Systems Design showcase how strategy and execution stay aligned. We’re hands-on with material selection, production specs, and final output to ensure the design performs, on shelves, in hand, or across a 30-foot storefront.
Do you help with photography or image creation?
Yes. We often act as art and creative directors for live model, location, and product shoots—planning, coordinating, and collaborating with photographers and stylists to get it right. And when AI image generation is the smarter tool for the job, we’re fluent there too. We tailor our visual approach to fit the needs and tone of your brand.
How do you stay ahead of trends and tools?
We’re curious by nature, and relentless about craft. We consume everything we can, from design and culture to emerging tech, to ensure we’re bringing the most relevant thinking and tools to the table. A strong brand isn’t flat. It connects. And that connection only deepens when strategy, tools, and execution evolve together.
Results and Support
What kind of results should I expect?
Ideally? The kind that make you pause, smile, and say, “That’s exactly it.”
But let’s be honest, results aren’t just about a shiny new logo or a polished website. They’re about clarity, consistency, and depth. They’re about building something that reflects who you are, connects with the right people, and can evolve as your business grows. Clarity, cohesion, confidence, that’s what we’re aiming for. If they exceed your expectations? Even better. That’s what we live for.
We want your audience to feel it. We want you to feel it. And if it exceeds your expectations? That’s not luck. That’s what we’ve designed for.
Will I be able to maintain my brand or website after launch?
Yes, depending on your comfort level. We design everything with usability in mind and provide tools, templates, and style guides to help you manage things internally. If you need a quick walkthrough or cheat sheet, we’ve got you.
Do you offer support after the project ends?
Of course, you don’t have to go it alone. If you’d rather keep us in your corner, we offer ongoing support through retainers or extended service contracts. Think of it as having a creative partner on speed dial, there when you need us, gone when you don’t.
